The Mythic Garden is a beautiful child friendly art exhibition set in a 5 acre arboretum holding important National Collections of wild-origin Birch and Alder trees in a lovely landscaped water & woodland setting. Just on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Devon; surrounded by beautiful scenery and yet only a few miles from the A30.
The garden is open all year round, but most people visit during the summer; when there is an imaginative and extensive Sculpture Exhibition, entitled "The Mythic Garden". The exhibition runs until the 3rd October. There are over 100 sculptures on display, children can touch and interact with the unusual installations which are complemented by the informal planting of trees, shrubs and perennials. There are huge iron spiders and a massive nut shell to hide in. There are mystical unicorns and all manner of 'Mummy look at that!' moments.
